About the Club
by Gareth Jones, Chairman
History
The Denbighshire Branch was formed in September 2000, by three Liverpool supporters from Denbigh. A meeting of Liverpool supporters who were interested in the formation of a supporters club in the area was arranged, and a committee was elected. This was the beginning of the Denbighshire Liverpool F.C. Supporters Club.
In August 2001, nearly twelve months after its formation, the supporters club was invited to become an Official Branch of the Liverpool Supporters Club Branch network, who are called the 'Association of International Branches'. The invitation was accepted and the Branch was now officially recognized by Liverpool Football Club.
The Branch is run by a strong committee, who are elected, and up for reelection yearly at the Branch A.G.M. The committee consists of a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, supported by 8 additional members. Committee meetings are held every month to discuss and arrange such issues as, Promoting and Developing the Branch, Youth Development, Finances, the Website, and activities and events for members.
The Branch and its committee is administered by the rules and constitution of the 'Association of International Branches' and minutes of all committee meetings are taken and kept as a record.
